Calcium Chloride (CaCl₂)

Calcium chloride (CaCl₂) is a salt of calcium and chlorine, widely used due to its unique properties in various fields.

In our assortment, we offer products in the form of both flakes and granules. Products in the form of flakes contain 77% of the active ingredient, while products in the form of granules contain 95% of the active ingredient.

This provides the opportunity to choose a product that meets your needs.

Dust Suppression on Roads:

Calcium chloride (CaCl2) in flakes is a means of road dust suppression. It is ideal for gravel roads. Absorbing moisture from the air, it prevents the formation of foam on the road surface. Calcium chloride is an extremely effective product for dust control on unpaved roads in cities and highways. The product strengthens and stabilizes the road surface, providing a clean, smooth surface that requires minimal maintenance and effort.

Calcium Chloride as an Anti-Ice Reagent:

Calcium chloride has stronger hygroscopic properties. When it comes into contact with ice, it begins to heat up. As a result, the ice melting process starts. Due to its increased activity, calcium chloride has a much lower consumption rate, approximately 30% less.

Calcium Chloride as a Food Additive:

In the food industry, additive E509 is widely used in the production of hard cheeses, cottage cheese, and brine cheese as a firming agent. Calcium chloride is often added to vegetable preserves (such as cucumbers, tomatoes, green peas, and corn), as well as fruit and berry preserves, to prevent them from softening. This additive is common in dairy products, mainly to improve milk coagulation properties (for cheese and cottage cheese production). Additionally, calcium chloride is used in the production of powdered milk, powdered cream, condensed milk, cream, powdered mashed potatoes, and potato flakes. E509 is also frequently added in the making of marmalade and in brewing.
